Pastoral Letters

This section is dedicated to Pastoroal Letters.

    My Dear People,

In response to the current situation caused by terrorism and war, the Pope has asked Catholics to make Friday 14th December a special day of prayer, fasting and almsgiving in a gesture of solidarity with all those who are suffering.

A Pastoral Letter detailing the Church's position and objections to the so-called "morning after pill" will be made available to all Catholics at their local parishes in the coming weeks.
The Roman Catholic Bishops of Scotland have today released the following pastoral statement on the proposed repeal of Section 28.

The "Pastoral Message" has been approved by all eight members of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland and is issued to provide guidance to Catholics on the current controversy and to put on record the Church's official position on the proposed repeal of Section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988.
