WEDNESDAY 11 DECEMBER 2013  Pope Francis appoints new Bishop of DunkeldPope Francis has today appointed Bishop Stephen Robson, currently Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Andrews and Edinburgh as the new Bishop of Dunkeld.  Bishop Robson will replace Bishop Vincent Logan who stood down as Bishop of Dunkeld after almost 30 years in December 2010 on health grounds. Saturday 4 June 2011   At 12 noon today in Rome (11am GMT) it was announced, that Pope Benedict XVI had nominated Abbot Hugh Gilbert as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Aberdeen.   He will succeed Bishop Peter Moran who has been Bishop since 2003.
